Centro Islámico Imam Mahdi (AS) Chile

Chilean Shia Islamic community (also referred to as Mezquita Imam Mahdi) whose director of religious affairs is Sheikh Gustavo Zehnder Sady, a Chilean graduate of the Qom seminary. The center holds Muharram programs and is active in interfaith dialogue, including the Oración por Chile, the Templo Votivo de Maipú flag ceremony (2022), and outreach in La Araucanía with the Temuco interreligious dialogue table. As of 2020 the community did not have a permanent physical space.
