Mesquita Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (Mesquita de Curitiba)

Shia mosque founded in 1972 and run by the Sociedade Beneficente Muçulmana do Paraná (SBMP); religious director Gamal Oumairi. One of the few Shia mosques in Brazil and a Curitiba landmark receiving around 30,000 visitors a year. Open to visitors Mon–Sat 9am–12pm and Sun 10am–2pm; free Saturday classes in religion and Arabic.
