Mogul Shia Jamay Masjid

The largest Shia mosque in Yangon. The present building, with its two minarets set back behind Mogul Hall off Mahabandoola Road, was built in 1914–1918 to replace a wooden mosque put up in 1854 by Indo-Persian merchant families. Muharram majalis, matamdari and Arbaeen programmes are held here; the linked YouTube channel (Azadari in Myanmar) records azadari here and at other Yangon imambargahs.
