Abdul Jalil Nawee

Shaykh Abdul Jalil Nawee, originally from Accra, Ghana, began his Islamic education at Al-Hidayah Islamic School, where he later taught for several years. He pursued Hawzah studies at the Ahlulbait Institute in Accra and later became both a teacher there and an Imam at the Shia Central Mosque. Seeking further knowledge, he continued his Hawzah studies in Iran before moving to Washington, DC. In the U.S., he served various Islamic centers and taught at the Muslim Community School in Maryland. Currently, he is the resident alim of Idara-e-Jaferia Islamic Center in Burtonsville, Maryland.
