Biography
Syed Nadeem Raza Sarwar Rizvi, known as the "Safeer-e-Aza" (Ambassador of Mourning), is a globally renowned Pakistani Noha Khwan from Karachi, widely considered among the most influential reciters of his generation. He began Nauha Khwani at the age of four with the support of his parents and rose to international fame in the 1980s, releasing 7 to 10 Nohas annually and roughly 30 albums between 1980 and 2012. Though he recites primarily in Urdu, he has performed in Sindhi, Saraiki, Punjabi, Pashto, Persian, Arabic, Hindi, Gujarati, and English, and has traveled across five continents to promote Azadari. Both of his sons, Ali Shanawar and Ali Jee, have continued his legacy as reciters.
