Vinay Khetia

Shaykh Dr. Vinay Khetia is the academic director of the Shia Research Institute at the Toronto School of Theology at the University of Toronto. He has a PhD in Religious Studies from McMaster University and an MA in History and Philosophy of Religion from Concordia University. He has studied in the Hawza Ilmiyya of London UK and Sayyida Zaynab, with directed studies in Najaf. His areas of interest include Twelver Shi'ism and comparative liturgy between Islamic and Christian traditions. He has delivered academic talks at Harvard, Oxford (Pembroke College), and SOAS, and teaches at Mufid Academic Seminary in the United States.
