Imamzadeh Hamzeh, Kashmar

Sayyid Hamzah ibn Musa

A Twelver Shi'a imamzadeh and mosque complex in Kashmar built around the tomb of Sayyid Hamzah ibn Musa, another son of the 7th Imam, Musa al-Kazim, distinct from the Hamzah shrine in Tabriz and from the two Hamza shrines in Diwaniyah, Iraq. The complex, which also includes a garden and public cemetery, blends Safavid and Pahlavi-era construction and was added to the Iran National Heritage List in 2003. It stands close to Kashmar's other major shrine, Imamzadeh Seyed Morteza.
