Soltani Mosque of Borujerd

One of the largest historic mosques in western Iran, built in the Safavid era and extensively expanded under the Qajars. Grand Ayatollah Hossein Borujerdi, the worldwide marja of his era, taught theology here. Badly damaged in the 2006 Borujerd earthquake, with restoration completed in 2022.
